Our ski resort is perfect for families and fun sport enthusiasts alike: go and get the ultimate kick in the Ehrwald snow park! On the trail

Cross country skiing

The Tyrolean Zugspitze Arena is a paradise for all cross country skiers. Glide on perfectly prepared tracks through the snowy countryside surrounded by breathtaking mountains. 110 km of cross-country trails - for classic and skating style - offer plenty of variety for beginners and ambitious athletes alike.

Cross-country tracks at high-altitude and the Golf course loop with artificial snow guarantee snow right at the foot of the Zugspitze. All tourist offices provide detailed maps of cross-country skiing tracks.

Romance in the snow

Winter hiking & snow shoe touring

More than 60 km of prepared winter tracks invite you to enjoy the snow-covered nature. In the Tyrolean Zugspitze Arena you can do pleasant walks or sporty hikes through the snow. Numerous trails lead you through the mountains and valleys. Snowshoeing allows you to enjoy the tranquility away from the slopes. In places without trails or lifts you walk in knee-high deep snow through easy terrain or natural forest areas.

The night tours where you can explore the Tyrolean Zugspitze Arena in the moonlight are a special highlight.

That's funny

Sledding

In our holiday resort you can ride a sled at day or night, and it’s great fun. The sled night takes place in Ehrwald every Friday. On those evenings, the lifts of the Ehrwald Almbahn are open for sledding from 06:30 to 09:30 pm. Take your sled onto the lift, and have fun on the ride down on the slopes in floodlight. On Wednesday nights, the mountain hut Gamsalm is open for a sled night. A 30 minute walk starting at the Wettersteinbahn takes you to the Gamsalm. The trip down on the slopes in floodlight is great fun. An approximately 4 km toboggan in Lermoos takes you down to the valley starting at the middle station Brettlalm. The toboggan can be used daily from 11:00 am on free of charge. You can reach the middle station after a 60 minute walk on Bachtlweg or with the lifts Hochmoos Express (6 seater) or Grubigstein cable car (6 persons).

There is a further toboggan in Bichlbach (0,3 km) at the former “Mähberg lift”. The sled night takes place every Wednesday evening form 05:50 to 09:00 pm in floodlight at the skiing lift Sonnenbichl. The village of Lähn-Wängle has a 300 m long toboggan next to the cross-country ski track. Sleds are available for rent in all sport shops in the area.
